About Metaskills

Practice for the conversations that matter at work

Metaskills is a B2B platform for AI role-play training: employees practise difficult conversations with AI avatars in the browser or in VR and get structured feedback after every attempt. The platform is run by Metaskills sp. z o.o. and is used by leadership, sales and healthcare teams in companies and organisations.

How the product works

One conversation, four steps

Every Metaskills training module follows the same cycle: the learner chooses a scenario, talks to an AI avatar, gets structured feedback tied to specific moments of the conversation and watches their competency profile grow. Learners can speak, type or choose responses. The platform runs in a web browser without installation; VR is optional, and plug-and-play VR kits are available for rent.

How Metaskills works

Digital Twin and AI Assessment

The Metaskills Digital Twin is a dynamic competency profile of a user, built from simulation data, behavioural indicators, self-assessment and AI feedback. It maps observable behaviour in conversations, not personality, emotions or private inner states. Formal competency evaluation is a separate Metaskills use case, AI Assessment, with defined criteria and human oversight.

Ready-made or custom

Metaskills offers ready-made modules in the Training Library, on topics such as feedback, delegation, difficult conversations and healthcare communication, in web, VR or blended formats. When no module fits, Metaskills builds scenarios through Custom AI Simulations around an organisation's own situations, competency model and terminology, from a discovery workshop through to deployment.

Custom Pilot

A Metaskills Custom Pilot tests one real situation before a wider rollout. The organisation describes one conversation or problem, Metaskills builds a small set of AI simulations from it and runs them for a selected group, and after the pilot the organisation decides whether to scale or stop. Testing one case does not require rolling out the whole platform.

Research and the EU project

Metaskills states clearly which evidence is its own, which comes from its project consortium and which is independent research, and the Research & Evidence page labels its sources this way. Metaskills cites a peer-reviewed review of VR soft-skills training as context for its design decisions, not as proof of its own results, and states plainly that it is not an author of that paper. Metaskills takes part in VR Health Champions, a European project focused on accelerating XR innovation in healthcare. In the project, Metaskills develops and validates AI and VR-based soft-skills training for healthcare professionals together with clinicians, researchers and international partners: communication scenarios, 3D avatars with GenAI conversations, real-time feedback and the Digital Twin. The project is co-funded by the European Union. Validation of the Metaskills Digital Twin assessment is still in progress. The methodology, including the competency model and the design of a study that tests AI assessment against independent human assessors, is published as a methodology series, and the study design was published before the results.

Who uses Metaskills

Metaskills is used by leadership, sales and healthcare teams, from single pilots to structured training programmes. The Metaskills customer stories describe Rossmann, a major retail company that uses Metaskills to offer conversation practice beyond one-off workshops, and PGNiG Termika, where immersive training was combined with online feedback. In healthcare, Metaskills completed pilots at Spanish universities and hospitals together with MetaMedicsVR, as part of its VR Health Champions work. The testimonials on the Metaskills home page come from HR teams at EFL Credit Agricole, PGNiG Termika S.A. and Maxi Zoo.

How we handle data

Metaskills hosts its production infrastructure and customer data in the European Union. Data sent between the user and the platform is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or newer, and stored data is encrypted at rest. Access follows the user role and the principle of least privilege, backups are taken daily, and Metaskills signs a Data Processing Agreement on request. Metaskills does not use customer data, conversations or transcripts to train AI models. An AI model receives only the content a specific function needs, such as the conversation and its context; contact details and administrative data stay out unless a function directly requires them. Learners see their own transcripts and feedback, managers see aggregate team trends, and an administrator configures who can see what.
