Evidence behind immersive human-skills training

Research, validation projects and real-world pilots that inform how Metaskills is designed and deployed. We state clearly which work is ours, which comes from our project consortium and which is independent research.

Three kinds of evidence highlight

1

Scientific publications

Peer-reviewed research

Independent, peer-reviewed work on VR and soft-skills training. We reference it as context for our design decisions, not as proof of our own results.

2

Validation and pilots

Real-world testing

Deployments in real organisations and clinical environments, with structured feedback collected from participants.

3

R&D projects

Ongoing development

Work carried out inside VR Health Champions and other programmes - published as it matures, marked as in progress until then.

Virtual reality for the training of soft skills for professional education: trends and opportunities

A review of 33 papers identifying trends and gaps in VR soft-skills training. Authors include researchers from Lodz University of Technology, Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, University of Trento and Fondazione Bruno Kessler. This is research from institutions collaborating in the VR Health Champions ecosystem. Metaskills is not an author of this paper - we reference it because it informs how we design scenarios and feedback.

Ongoing R&D highlight

Ongoing

Scenario management platform

An integrated platform for authoring, licensing and reporting on training scenarios.

Ongoing

Digital Twin model for soft skills

Extending the competency model so that practice produces a development profile, not just a score. We avoid claiming psychometric validity until the relevant study is completed.

Proof of concept

On-premise language model

Research into running language models on-premise, for organisations that cannot send conversation data to external services.

We are happy to walk through what we have measured, what we have not, and what a pilot in your organisation would need to prove.
