About the course
Digital transformation in healthcare rarely fails because of the technology. It fails in conversations: with a patient who does not trust a video consultation, with a family asking who can see the medical record, with a team that quietly works around a new process. Digital Health Conversations is an online communication course in which healthcare professionals practise these conversations with AI counterparts.
Who it is for
- patient-facing staff, such as clinicians and nurses
- team leaders and coordinators
- service managers and administrators
- clinical educators and trainers
What it covers, in five modules
1. Foundations of communication in digital health
2. Explaining digitally enabled care to patients and families
3. Responding to resistance to digital workflow in teams
4. Privacy, trust and ethical communication
5. Final simulation assessment and action planning
How it runs
About 10 hours online and self-paced; three weeks is a suggested schedule, not a deadline. Each module combines short theory, a knowledge check, up to three simulations with an AI counterpart and structured feedback on observable behaviour, followed by a task to try in real work. The course is designed around 12-15 simulations in total and ends with scenarios without hints, a report and a personal development plan. It runs in a browser, so no VR headset is needed, and the original version is in English. Organisations can take it as a cohort, with optional live onboarding and debrief sessions.
Enrolment has not opened yet and no start date has been set. The course page has a waitlist.
What EIT Health accreditation means
EIT Health accredits education and training programmes in healthcare innovation that have passed an independent, external quality review. The review checks a programme against set standards: its relevance to the people it is meant for, the intended learning outcomes, the content, the instructional design, the assessment methods and the support given to learners.
As the name indicates, the EIT Label for Non-Degree Education and Training applies to programmes that do not lead to an academic degree, such as professional courses.
The accreditation applies to the course in the form in which it was reviewed and is granted for a fixed period; for Digital Health Conversations, that period ends on 15 October 2027.
